Create a memory dump

If the Windows application stops responding, support may ask for a memory dump of the running process. Create it while the problem is present, before ending the process.

  1. Open Windows Task Manager, for example with Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
  2. Locate the Zeta Test Management process. Depending on your Windows version, use the processes or details view; expand the application group if necessary.
  3. Open the process's context menu and select the command to create a memory dump. Its name and location vary by Windows version.
  4. Wait for Task Manager to finish. Note the path shown for the generated dump file, or open its location if offered.
  5. Follow support's instructions to transfer the file. If necessary, compress it as a ZIP archive first.

Include a description of the operation that stopped responding. Memory dumps can contain project data and other information from the application's memory, so use the transfer route agreed with support.
