Export and copy projects¶
Export a project¶
- Open the project in the Windows application and sign in as an administrator.
- Open Manage → Options → Actions.
- Select the project export action and run it.
- Choose the destination folder in the wizard. You can omit attachments to reduce the archive size.
- Review any email options before starting. If enabled, the wizard also sends the export to the selected recipient or support.
The export produces a ZIP archive and shows it in Windows Explorer. You can transfer the archive separately through the support upload service.
Copy a project¶
Copying only the project folder does not copy a database hosted on Microsoft SQL Server. Use the Copy project action instead.
Open the source project as an administrator. Under Manage → Options → Actions, select the copy action and run it. The wizard lets you choose the destination and database type. The resulting copy is independent; the source project remains unchanged.
Reset a manually copied project's ID¶
A manual copy can retain the source project's unique ID. This can cause the server to address the wrong project.
Open the copied project, select the action to reset its unique ID and run it. Restart the application afterwards. Use the copy wizard for future copies so that the database and project identity are handled together.
